Managing a hi-tech startup in the USA is a difficult challenge. Managing a startup based in a peripheral country is next to impossible. It requires setting up a strategic operations office in a different country and managing a startup that is globally dispersed. This thesis analyzes Israeli startups as a case in point in managing globally dispersed startups. In depth interviews were conducted with several Israeli startup companies that have globally dispersed operations. Wide coverage interviews were conducted with members of Israel's Venture Capital community, and Social Network Analysis was done to provide qualitative measure of organizational unity. It was shown that the keys to a dispersed startup success are balance and trust. These can be achieved through some best practices that are described in this work.en_US
