Abstract
This thesis serves as a case study for the implementation of data analytics and optimization within a high mix low volume electronics production environment in the Aerospace and Defense industry. This case study demonstrates the benefits of data analysis for defining and quantifying operational bottlenecks and explores the implementation of an optimization model to better allocate resources for production planning. Results demonstrate the insights derived from using data and analytics in this environment, and further discussion explores what contributes to an effective implementation of an optimization model in a production setting.
