dc.description.abstractThis paper presents an overview of the methodology and results of the MIT Libraries’ business plan development project for DSpace (http://www.dspace.org/), MIT’s digital institutional repository. The introductory section includes a description of DSpace, the objectives of the business plan project, and the current status of the DSpace project. The methodology section explains the process and tools with which the business plan was developed. The remainder of the paper describes the results of the business plan project, including the DSpace service definition, the cost model, potential funding sources, and future DSpace plans.en
